Yes, we know, we know, awards & recognition pages often come across as pretentious, especially because it is not what we are all about. However, on this page we'd like to highlight the accomplishments our volunteers and their programs have achieved recently....

The Sy Lerner Award
is given annually to the Peters Township High School Senior student(s) who has made outstanding contributions in the areas of television production, computer skills, set design and/or creativity to Peters Township Community Television.
The award was named in memory of Sy Lerner, the first chairperson of the Peters Township Cable TV Board. Mr. Lerner was responsible for negotiating the first Cable TV franchise agreement in Peters Township that included the inception of public access television.
Since 1993, PTCT has recognized 66 PTHS Senior students with the Sy Lerner Award.

Television and Video Teachers Consortium (TVT) - an organization of media teachers in Pennsylvania, Ohio and surrounding areas founded in 1991 (and has since been renamed the Digital Media Arts Consortium - DMAC). TVT/DMAC gives Awards of Excellence to student productions at its yearly Video Arts Festival. Since the first video festival in 1994, Peters Township High School Media Broadcast and Television Production Students have captured 147 Awards of Excellence.
